The Music Party would like to introduce you to Benton Wedge, our Strings Coordinator! He is one of the Chicago area’s most active and creative musicians.

He received his Bachelors and Masters in Music Performance from Northwestern University. After college he began his professional career in Lisbon, Portugal where he played for three years before returning to the Chicago area. He has performed with Chicago Symphony, Lyric Opera of Chicago, Milwaukee Symphony, and Grant Park Symphony. He is a founding member of Lakeside Strings.

Benton is a versatile musician that is at home playing in various genres (Classical, Pop, Rock, Jazz). His arrangements are performed at concerts, weddings, and corporate events world-wide. He is also a composer, teacher, and conductor and is an sought after studio player.

He has performed with many notable artists, including Andrea Bocelli, Michael Buble, Celine Dion, Smokey Robinson, Cheap Trick, Violent Femmes, Seth McFarlane, and Weird Al! Also of note are many performances of the music of movies and video game franchises. He has appeared on film (Home Alone 2) and television (Empire, various concert broadcasts).
